Yep, it's broke!!!

Right when we got home from the ER

So, it's Friday night and we decide to go on a family walk! We walk up the street to the stop sign with Morghan pushing her baby stroller the whole way. When we get to the stop sign at the end of the street we turn around to go back like we always do. For some reason Morghan didn't want to turn around but it was getting late and dark so I made her come home. She wouldn't walk because she was sooooo mad so I picked her up and carried her home. The whole way home was the fit of all fits, hitting, screamin, biting etc... Well I told her she was immediately going to time out when we got home. So that's what I did I walked in and instead of putting her in the time out spot downstairs like I always do I made the decision to put her in her crib because she was being completely out of control. Well, WRONG DECISION! She took it upon herself to try and get out of the crib, something I must say, she has never attempted or even thought about doing when I put her in there so I wasn't worried. Well I don't know exactly what happened but she fell and when I got to her she was holding her arm. I knew right away it was broke. We took her to the ER and sure enough broke the Ulnar and the Radius!! So now she is in a splint for two weeks and we will see if she needs a hard cast after that. Talk about GUILT. I had a huge meltdown because I was the one that put her in the crib and if I wouldn't have done that she wouldn't have fallen out and broke her arm. So I cried all day Saturday and finally pulled myself together. I learned a good listen, don't put your kid in the crib when they are extremely upset! Morghan is doing fine, you would never know she has a broken arm other than it is her right arm so she is struggling using her left, but she hasn't cried once or messed with the splint at all. I think we are all going to survive.

Morghan Turns 2!!!!

Morghan turned 2 on the 18th! We had a very nice birthday party for her! My parents rented a Condo here in Moab and we let her and her friends swim in the pool! I had a cake made especially for her thinking it would be a big hit because it was Tasha from the Backyardigans which whom she adores, that wasn't the case!! She was terrified, why??? I don't know, I think it might have been the candles because she got scared of the fireworks on the 4th of July! Who knows?? Anyway, She had a lot of fun and got really spoiled with presents. Can't wait to see what the next year brings!

She got a new tricycle!!!

If you notice her face, she is Crying over the Cake!!

Our Little Family

What a Princess!

Morghan is almost two and it is beginning to show. Most of the time she is the best little girl you could ask for, throwing out "I love you's, kisses, and squeezes. She minds mommy and daddy, laughing and playing so peacefully, and then there are those wonderful times when she decides to really test our patients by throwing what I'm sure is the "terrible two" fit where she is literally a monster. We have used time out more in the past 2 months but she is catching on and the biting, hitting, screaming tantrums have began to get better...I hope!

Blood, Sweat & Tears!!

Now that we are official redidents of Moab, it's only appropriate that we venture out on the mountain bike trails. On our first outing Nate picked an "easy trail" what that means is on the way out the whole trail is down hill which makes it fairly easy, on the way back it is the worst possible situation ever, mind you that Moab is on a good day 100 degrees, also keep in mind that I haven't worked out in oh... let's say 2 years and here I am riding a mountain bike for 7 miles up hill...I thought the world was coming to an end..Good Times. So a couple weeks go by and we decide to go on another "easy ride." Well after walking my bike up the first mile hill I finally got on and started riding across the slick rock, now it's called slick rock because it is slick rock. Here I am going at a good pace and all the sudden my pedal hit a rock that I didn't see, stopped me dead in my tracks and off the bike I fly. This is only a few miles into the trail. So I can feel the bruises beginning to swell on my legs, now we have reached the part of the trail where it is deep sand, and once again I am off and walking. Poor Nate, he goes ahead of me and has to stop and goes ahead and stop. We finally made it to the top and the views were beautiful so it was worth it, but I had a huge bruise on my thigh for a month or so.....

That's right my friends!!!

Well I guess I must tell everyone about my recent championship. We attended the family reunion this year and once again had the annual horseshoe tournament. I know how exciting can a horseshoe tournament be....well lets just say it starts off by drawing names out of a hat, one boy and one girl to each team. After the teams are made and everyone bickers about who got who on there team the competition begins. Two horseshoe pits, side by side, in the hot 100 degree Utah weather. A cheering squad off to the side made up of the waiting opponents to play. A little smack talk back and forth amongst players, a few horseshoes flying all over the place, ringers here ringers there. No one knew what they were getting in to once they came face to face with the Buhler-Little combo (that's me and my brother Aaron) We were untouchable!! That's right my friends...Untouchable. We knocked off each competetor one by one and at the end of the day the trophy was handed over and I along with my oldest brother Aaron won the title of 2008 Little-Evans family reunion horse shoe champs!!!!
